Panama Solera 18 y.o.

Tasting notes
Appearance: Deep amber, steering toward orange.
Nose: Darker and more resinous than the previous release, always extremely sweet and with chestnut honey notes, but also characterized by oak and balsamic notes.
Palate: The sweetness of molasses is evident, without becoming too syrupy. Winey, with notes of raisins and chocolate, but the tannins from the oak provide a match to the sweetness.
Finish: Sweetness is always in the background, but the tannic and peppery character keeps growing. Notes of black tea and aromatic herbs.
Comment: A thick rum, soft and sweet, but with a great complexity from the oak casks. Easy to drink, but complex and deep, to be savoured slowly.
