Réunion 7 y.o. Cask Strength
Intense, alcoholic, warm. Very balsamic, with notes of aromatic herbs, and of course a clear note of molasses.
Tasting notes
Appearance: Warm gold.
Nose: Intense, alcoholic, warm. Very balsamic, with notes of aromatic herbs, and of course a clear note of molasses.
Palate: The sweetness and green character of the sugarcane are very perceivable at first, but the rum soon turns towards intensely tannic and oaky notes, pepper and cloves. Medicinal herbs, gentian root, black liquorice.
Finish: Very dry and peppery, with the tannic and spicy notes taking complete control.
Comment: A rum for connoisseurs, due to the cask strength and the austere character, peppery and not tamed at all. The exact opposite of sweet and honeyed rums: pure and uncompromising.
