Appearance: Evokes sherry, with distinct cherry shades
Nose: Explosive! Exhalations of fudge, toffee and caramel overlap notes of nail-varnish, wood and liquorice, unexpected aromas of Pandoro, trifle and Nutella seep through
Palate: A pleasant surprise: redolent of the complexity of a Glen – everchanging and intriguing, traces of roasted coffee and vanilla envelop the palate, and then, typical of malts aged in old sherry casks vague sensations of malt and caramel return
Finish: Very long, with distinct impression of coffee and milk chocolate
Comment: A rare old Rum, typically Latin in character and the perfect partner to a Partagas Lusitania
