Appearance: Orange/amber, deep and bright.
Nose: Very aromatic, powerful. Sweetness andoak spiciness galore. Wood polish, wax,chinotto, cola nut extract. Strongly brewedEarl Grey tea. Dark chocolate.
Palate: Rich and juicy, greatly balanced betweenthe dark sweetness of molasses and the
aromatic depth of bitter medicinal herbs.Balsamic. Cloves, cinnamon, black pepper.
Finish: Still sweet and luscious, but with anincreasing impression of black liquorice andgentian liqueur.
Comment: This new small batch release of our mostprestigious old rum is a battleship loadedwith intensity, syrupy thickness and amind-blowing array of spicy aromas whichare at the same contrasting andmarvelously integrated.
